The Emissary's invitation (Log #093) has been accepted. After heated debate, Grid Command has sanctioned the "Pathfinder Initiative," a volunteer-only expedition into the conduit. The mission: to make peaceful contact, assess the nature of the "greater network," and report back. A new vessel, the G.C.V. Odyssey, was constructed at Citadel-01, crewed by a unique blend of personnel: Grid Command's most decorated Operators, the most skilled Glitch-Runner Cartographers (Log #078), and a fully integrated consciousness of a benevolent Civilian AI (Log #084) to handle communication and data analysis.

At 0800 hours today, with the entire Grid watching, the Odyssey made its historic departure. The ship approached the shimmering data-conduit that has hung silently in space before the Citadel. Without hesitation, it plunged into the portal. All telemetry was lost the instant it crossed the threshold, as expected. The silence that followed was heavier than any since the end of the Architect's Symphony. We do not know what they will find, or if they can even return.
