Log Entry #061: Glitch Gauntlet - Sentience & Adaptation

DATE: 82DD.07.29 | SOURCE: Grid Anomaly Response Team (GART)

The "Reality Shards" phenomenon within Glitch Gauntlet constructs (ref: Log #056) appears to be more than just random environmental bleeding. We are now observing evidence that the Gauntlets themselves are developing a form of rudimentary, adaptive sentience.

Operator debriefs indicate that Gauntlet layouts are dynamically altering *during* traversal, often in direct response to Operator tactics. Common jump paths are suddenly obstructed, safe platforms dematerialize, and new hazard patterns emerge that specifically counter common evasion routes. The Gauntlets seem to be learning from each Operator's attempt.

Furthermore, some Gauntlets are incorporating environmental elements or even defensive measures that echo other Grid threats, such as temporary data-spike fields similar to OmniCorp's Block System Guardian AI attacks, or platforms that resonate with Krystal-Block frequencies (Log #049). It's as if the corrupted code forming the Gauntlets is pulling from the broader Grid's chaotic data pool to enhance its own lethality. Navigating these constructs now requires improvisational skill beyond any training simulation.
