Log Entry #098: A Glimpse of the Plague & A World in Agony

DATE: 92CC.05.01 | SOURCE: G.C.V. Odyssey - Deep Scan Telemetry

At the guidance of the Crystal Choir, the Odyssey has repositioned to observe one of the flickering spheres in the Grid Nexus (Log #095). What our deep-range scans show is a reality in its death throes. This is the Architect Plague (Log #097) in its purest, most horrific form. The Krystal-Blocks are not assimilating; they are cancerous, aggressively overwriting all data. Their version of the Cybernetic Outbreak shows nanites that don't create inert husks but actively decompile matter into gray goo. Their temporal mechanics are not just unstable, they are broken, with time flowing backwards and forwards simultaneously.

The suffering is palpable, even across the void. We are witnessing the very fate we narrowly escaped. The stable, almost playful challenges of our own repurposed Grid stand in stark, terrifying contrast to this reality being unmade. There is no Emissary here, no test of philosophy—only a final, deafening scream of a universe being consumed. This is not a game. This is what we are up against. The crew is shaken, but their resolve is hardened. We now understand what is truly at stake.
