Log Entry #052: Nexus Feedback - Vector Vanquisher Overcharge

DATE: 80AB.01.12 | SOURCE: Grid Armory R&D - VX Division

The emergence of the Anomaly Nexus at the Grid's core (ref: Log #051) is having widespread, unpredictable effects on Grid technologies. Most notably, Operators piloting Vector Vanquisher craft report their ION-Ball systems are spontaneously overcharging.

These overcharged ION-Balls exhibit significantly increased destructive potential against Krystal-Block formations (Log #001), sometimes shattering entire clusters in a single impact. However, they are also highly unstable, with a tendency to detonate prematurely or veer off-course, posing a considerable risk to the Vanquisher paddles themselves. The energy surges seem to correlate with pulses from the Nexus, suggesting a direct feedback mechanism.

While this "Nexus Overcharge" offers a tactical advantage against the escalating Krystal threat, particularly the resilient forms seen in the Glyph Matrix Defragger simulations, its unpredictability makes it a double-edged sword. R&D is attempting to develop new paddle shielding and ION-Ball dampeners, but the raw power of the Nexus is proving difficult to contain or predict. Operators must exercise extreme judgment when engaging these supercharged Krystal threats.
