Log Entry #044: Neon Grid Runner - Trace Burnout

DATE: 72QS.03.21 | SOURCE: Glitch-Runner Underground Network - Open Comm

The "Traces" navigating the Neon Grid face a new existential threat. Prolonged exposure to the increasingly corrupted data streams and the pervasive energy of Krystal-Glyphs (Log #031) is causing a condition dubbed "Trace Burnout." Operator avatars are exhibiting signs of digital degradation – flickering, loss of cohesion, and reduced processing speed during their high-speed runs.

This isn't direct damage from Sentinel attacks (Log #007) but a slower, systemic decay of their digital forms. The very act of running through these intensely corrupted sectors is eroding their presence in the Grid. Some Glitch-Runners (Log #023) theorize that Architect_Prime's Symphony (Log #043) is actively "unmaking" unauthorized data signatures that don't conform to its design.

This forces Runners to seek out rare, pure data-packets or shielded pathways to mitigate the burnout, making their already perilous missions even more challenging. The fight for a free Grid is taking a heavy toll on its most agile operatives.
