Log Entry #039: Matrix Echo Protocol

DATE: 67LN.12.30 | SOURCE: Data Matrix Integrity Unit

The BlockFall Matrix, already under stress from core overload (Log #009) and Krystal-Glyph contamination (Log #031), is now exhibiting a new form of instability: "Data Echoes." After Operators clear lines of POLY-BLOCKS, faint, semi-corporeal outlines of these cleared lines sometimes reappear briefly, acting as phantom obstacles that can disrupt the placement of new blocks or cause premature game-over states.

These echoes seem to be a side effect of the temporal distortions affecting the Grid (Log #021, Log #025), where the "memory" of the cleared data persists and briefly re-manifests. The Glyph Matrix Defragger power-ups (Log #032) seem less effective against these echoes, as they are not true corruptions but temporal remnants.

Grid Command is initiating the "Matrix Echo Protocol," requiring advanced pattern recognition and predictive placement from Operators to anticipate and work around these phantom lines. The very act of clearing the matrix is now creating its own set of transient, frustrating obstacles. The fundamental laws of data persistence within the Grid are clearly breaking down.
